Our Fees

The information below shows a range of estimates for each of the main services that we offer in Immigration matters.   Please note that this is a guide as each case is different and there are some particular complex matters that we may not be able to estimate the work to be done hence almost impossible to estimate the fees payable. Litigation in particular can be time consuming, technical and complex hence we usually work on these matters on an hourly rate basis.

The firm has a policy of specifying the specific work that range of fees will cover and this is to prevent a situation where it is assumed the firm will be working unlimited number of hours for fixed fee matters. Any further work that may need to be carried out outside the scope of what was agreed will be subject to an additional fee and the applicable additional fee will be agreed with you.

The fees quoted below does not include disbursements, that is fees payable to third parties, for example court fees, counsel (barrister’s fees) etc .

The firm reserves the right to review the fees quoted. 

The firm does not currently undertake legal aid work

Our Fees and Price Transparency

One Off Consultation where we provide a One off advice lasting not more than an hour is currently £150.

If we are to work on your matter on an hourly rate basis , this will be between £225 to £350 reflecting the experience and qualifications of the individual performing the work.

Appeal against Home Office decision to refuse an application

This is usually in 3 stages and they are summarised below with our estimated range of fees:

Lodging Notice of appeal by completing form IAFT-1 with grounds in support of the notice of appeal:

Estimated fees from £500 to £700

(The fee chargeable will depend on the number of people appealing)

The Notice of Appeal will normally be lodged within 14 days of refusal.

The matter will then be listed for a hearing

At this stage, we will assist our clients to prepare for the hearing and this will include the following:

• Advising on supporting documents
• Assist to prepare witness statements
• Prepare court bundle

Estimated fee from £550 to £650
(The fee chargeable will depend on the number of people appealing)

Advocacy / attending court

Counsel or a Solicitor from the firm will attend court to represent the client at the appeal hearing.

Estimated fee from £650 to £750

(The fee chargeable will depend on the number of people appealing)

Asylum matters

We have extensive experience in dealing with asylum matters and as noted above, the firm does not undertake legal aid work hence any work we do will have to be paid for privately. 

Asylum is very broad and usually not straightforward hence the fees below are only as a guide:

Assist to apply for asylum 

Draft supporting witness statement, 

Undertake necessary research in support of application

Draft written representation and submit this with independent supporting evidence , etc to the Home Office

Firm’s fee will be from £600 to £800

Attending interview with person applying for asylum 

Firm’s fee will be from £400 to £550

Appeal hearing 

Counsel or a Solicitor from the firm will attend court to represent the client at the appeal hearing.

Estimated fee from £450 to £550

Application for Judicial Review (J.R)

This is litigation and a complex area of law

We will therefore work on J.R. matters on an hourly rate basis and the hourly rate will depend on who will have conduct of the matter. The hourly rate could be from £225 to £350 plus VAT an hour and we will confirm the hourly rate at the time the firm is instructed to undertake work on J.R. proceedings.

We will normally engage counsel (barrister) to work on this matter with us and we will also confirm counsel’s hourly rate at the time of the instruction.

We will provide preliminary advice as to whether you should proceed with a J.R. application as there are costs implications.
